Mission-Caravan Escort Meet-up

It was 8 in the morning when Sōjirō awoke in his room and got ready quickly making sure to grab the right scrolls tossing them in his pouch I really don't know what I am going to run into out there so it is better safe than sorry. Sōjirō thought to himself as he threw on his jacket before putting Ai on like a backpack. He left his room grabbing an apple that was on a counter before heading out his door. A warm breeze entered the house as the door opened causing a smirk to spread across Sō's face. He closed the door behind him making sure to lockup before he went on his way to the gates where he was supposed to meet up with the Caravan and the two fresh out of the academy shinobi that were supposed to join up with him on the caravan patrol.

As he got to the gates he saw that the Caravan was already set up and ready to go. there were three carts especially designed to be able to move over the sand of the desert while still having the wheels for the roads. Each one of the carts where being pulled by about four camels. That is probably because they can go farther than a horse between breaks plus they are desert animals to begin with Sōjirō speculated before he spotted a person that looked like he could have been the Caravan Head to a short burly man with a long scruffy looking beard making him look a lot like a Tolkien-esque Dwarf. Hello Sir, Are you the caravan boss.

Depends on who is asking Said the burly man his voice as gruff as it seemed like it should be as he turned towards Sōjirō giving him a quick once over huffing in disapproval before returning his attention to his crew Hey you guys Make sure everything is in place and tied down tight. You there double check those harnesses, and if you already have double checked them check them again.

Watanabe Sōjirō, I was assigned to a team meant to protect your caravan Sōjirō said as he approached the short man his hand outstretched as if to shake the mans hand.

The name is Shuju the man said as he grabbed Sōjirō's hand squeezing it tightly. Well anyone else going to show up.

They should be coming shortly but I don't know when and should they not show up by the time you are ready to depart then we can leave should you not wish to wait. Sōjirō said as he started to look around.

Well you can sit up here with me while we wait should you wish. Shuju said before he went back to shouting at his crew. Each member of his crew were at least six feet tall with fair features and pale hair. Though they were extremely thin they were able to easily lift large crates.

Kuro like every morning, woke up very early. It has been a week since he has graduated from the academy and his uncle promised him a very special gift. the young ninja wondered what it was but waited for it to be given to him. Kuro still hasnt been assigned a mission since he became a genin but he was told to go to the Kazekage's office. That is where he was headed.

On his way there, He Didnt see that many people but he spotted a few ninja walking, The young ninja even spotted a anbu lurking around the roofs. The design on the anbu's face was hard to tell what it was but it looked like a hawk. Since Kuro lived around the middle of the city, it took him about 10 minutes to get to the Kazekage's office walking. Once he arrive, he knocked on the door and waited a greeting. Kuro stood at the door for about Ten minutes with no replay as a hand grabbed his shoulder. Kuro turned to find it was the Kazekage.

"What are you doing up so early?" Kuro didnt realize the sun wasnt even out yet. That probably also explained the lack of people on the street.

Kuro just looked at the Kazekage as he spoke a few words. "Im sorry" Kuro apologized. " Oh no need. Come in I have a mission for you" Kuro silently walked in after the Kazekage to recieve his mission.

"There is a wandering caravan that is having troubles navigating the sands of the desert, we need a team of ninja's to go find them and escort them quickly to the daiymo's palace. Be aware that bandits have been known to prey upon these caravans and be careful, this is a C rank mission. I know i should start you off low but there are no other ninjas available. You should meet you team at the gates."

Kuro bowed to the Kazekage and left. He was given a C rank mission and he didn't want to complain. The young shinobi became a ninja to protect and only to protect. This was his first task, protecting the caravan and the workers that drove it. If he could do it, he didn't know. Kuro wasn't really worried or nervous, just pleased that he could finally start his real mission, to become a a great shinobi.

Kuro was now headed towards the gates as the sun was rising on the village. He noticed more people this time than when he walked towards the Kazekage's office, but this time he didn't see the anbu. He neared the gate as he saw what seemed to be one of his teamates but he wasn't shure.
That's when he saw a kunoichi heading towards the caravan. "Hello" he said to both of his temates as he stared at the young Kunoichi. he then looked away not wanting her to feel in an akward position. He stood in place not knowing what to do since it was his first mission and waited till he was told what to do.

Bic: Sōjirō saw the first of his teamates approach, she looked as if she was Five and a half feet tall wearing all black and carrying a gourd on her back. The other was a boy who looked about five ft even wearing all tan clothes. Hmm a gourd eh that is probably used to hold a material for some of her jutsu's so that means more than likely either sand, or water. Now him hmm that is quite a mystery I have no clue what type he is going to use. When Enkai approached she introduced herself. Well it is a pleasure to meet you Enkai, I am Sōjirō and you over there I am guessing that you are also assigned to this mission now who would you be, actually you can introduce yourself in a bit. We probably should figure out which one of us is going to be in charge because the three of us are all the same rank.

Sōjirō then turned to Shuju nudging him in the side to get his attention. It looks like everyone is here on my end we have to cover a bit of planning then we are ready to go.

Well you got about a half hour to do so then we will be all buttoned down and ready to go. Shuju said before he went back to yelling at his crew.

Sōjirō then turned back to his two companions. Okay now where were we oh yes you there what is your name, oh and everyone has at least basic equipment right? oh and as for who is in charge I personally say whichever one of us with the most missions under their belt which I am currently at 1.

"Im sorry, I didnt introduce myself. Im Kurogane, but you can call me Kuro." Kuro told his partners as he smiled but then frowned "I dont really have my equitment yet but ill be fine without it." Kuro's uncle said he would get him a basic set of equitment to start of with but still hasnt given it to him.

"This is also my first mission" The young shinobi said in a shy voice only being a genin for a week, this would be his first time actoully in battle. Kuro didnt know what to expect from this mission and he couldn't be leader becouse he wouldnt know how to lead everyone during battle. Enkai was also gonna bout to start her first mission wich is transporting the caravan so looks like the only person who could lead was Sojiro.

"So then looks like you will lead this mission sojiro" Kuro looked at Sojiro amd gave him a thumbs up as he walked towards the man in charge of the caravan."Are you ready to leave sir" He asked the man with a puzzled look.
"Yeah, Yeah we're ready Let's go and try to get there without the bandite on our trail!"
"yes sir..."

Okay Kuro I think i have something that will do for now but I would like you to return it to me after this mission though, oh and you get the second carriage. Enkai you take point and i will cover our rear. Basically my plan is Enkai you take care of anything that comes at us from the front to take out the front cart and block the road with it. Kuro keep an eye out on the sides while providing us with support. I figured my puppets would be better suited for guarding the rear of the cart should they try to attack from the behind. Sōjirō said as he removed his leg holster handing it at Kuro and with 5 Shuriken before he took his post with the goods that they would be traveling with in the rear carriage. Sō nodded to his team to signal to get to their positions before giving Shuju a nod as well.

Kuro cought the holster and tied it to his leg. Once he had tied it he looked at Enkai."You should of at least bring something that would back you up" Kuro Looked down at the ground was dissapointed in himself. He knew Enkai was right." Im sorry." He told Enkai he then looked back up to stare in the sky. He knew his father was watching and the young shinobi didn't want to dissapoint him.
Kuro got into his position and wated for the departure. Kuro was a little nervous. It seemed like one of his teamates didnt like him for being irresponable and not having his ninja gear. Kuro was also only 11 years old and by the looks of it, the youngest out of the 3. Kuro closed his eyes and sighed. He re-opened his eyes and prepared himself to whatever was awaiting outside the village.
